Inspiration moment after browsing some fine art pieces. The best part was the process. I tried to create an artistic atmosphere in the room and feel completely safe and confident when painting. Yes, I just.. let the brush do it's thing.
Some unrelated information. You know when people find you a little too negative-mood-looking? No? Well it happened for me. Though my friend had to have a drink to say that to me. It was amusing and surprising at the same time. She said I look too serious and sad sometimes. Oh my god... When did this start happening?so I said "My poor child (no I didn't say that actually.. that would be too offhand ;D), this is not making any sense... " And I thought, she must be thinking fisherman are the sadest people in the world... They always look so calm and serious staring at the water. And you can even think they might feel lonely. This can not be! : D So this picture: The boy didn't look so sad at first. But looky what I got now: a suicidal fisherman. Ah,no. Let's just say..he's sunk in contemplation. Oh, I forgot to mention-I love this piece.I mean, I don't adore it but I have warm and positive feelings about it : D
Ah, man.. if they're drunk they're usually happy. I went to two fishing 'festivals'. There was like some fiesta going on. No moody faces. But I'm not talking about these fisherman.
Now it's time for August 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it! Fave Fave Fave! My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy!
